SellPatterns

Selling Platforms

Where you sell affects how customers discover your patterns, how downloads are delivered, and how much control you have over your shop. Start with the decision criteria below, then verify current terms directly with each provider.

What to compare

  • Discovery: Does the platform bring browsing shoppers, or will you drive your own traffic?
  • Digital delivery: Check file limits, download access, and the customer experience.
  • Costs: Review current listing, transaction, payment, and subscription charges.
  • Control: Consider branding, customer relationships, and data portability.
  • Policies: Check rules for digital downloads, taxes, refunds, and the products you make.

Platforms to research

Payhip is a direct storefront option for downloadable products. Etsy is a marketplace where shoppers can search for craft products. A self-hosted shop offers more control but requires more setup and maintenance. None is the right choice for every creator.

We will publish detailed platform guides as they are researched and verified. For now, use the criteria above and each provider’s current documentation to compare options.
